The Challenge
We were asked to re-design the existing Salisbury Hospital website in order to improve usability for the different types of user accessing the site for different reasons.
Our Solution
We looked carefully at the site structure and made recommendations to consolidate it into core sections that users could identity and access easily. The navigation system across the site was updated to work on mobile devices and desktops and featured a tabbed secondary navigation making it easy for users to access either departments or wards. This provided a wireframe that we were able to use as the basis to create a bespoke design that gave the hopistal and new fresh look whilst staying within the NHS corporate brand guidelines.
The Result
The site has provided much greater access to different sections of information about the hospital that previously were very hard to find. The layouts are effective across all devices and mean that users on the go can access key details quickly and easily. The design has been very well received and the site is used daily by hundreds of users.
